Add and Adjust Inventory

Before we get in to details of adding inventory to each facility, make sure that you have created Facilities as per your company structure and added SKUs. Click here to know more about adding facilities in Primaseller.

Please note that any new SKU created by you will have zero inventory in all facilities as default. Inventory can be added one by one by changing Inventory details of an SKU under the Products tab.


  • Click on Products from the left menu
  • Go to Inventory

Modes of Adjusting Inventory

Inventory can be added in three ways:

  1. Upload to Edit
  2. Upload to Increment
  3. Scan to Increment

Upload to Edit

Primaseller allows you to change your inventory to a new level irrespective of the current stock in Primaseller.

  1. Go to Products > Inventory > Inventory Actions > Upload to Edit
  2. From the next screen click on Download Sample Excel file
  3. In the sample file, the Current Inventory Level column shows you the inventory currently in your Primaseller account. Against each SKU that you wish to update the inventory value for, enter the count in the New Inventory Level column. Remove the SKUs for which you don’t want to update the inventory or leave their New Inventory Level column blank. You can find Current Inventory Level value by downloading Inventory under Inventory Actions tab
  4. After filling the details, upload the file back into the page. Click on Choose File to browse for the file on your computer
  5. Select the facility you want to add inventory to
  6. Click on Upload

Upload to Increment

Primaseller allows you to increment your inventory by a certain amount above your current inventory level.

  1. Go to Products > Inventory > Inventory Actions > Upload to Increment
  2. After clicking on Upload to Increment, click on Download sample Excel file
  3. Fill Inventory Quantity To Add column against each SKU that you wish to add inventory to. Fill the cost at which you purchased that inventory in the Unit Cost Price column
  4. Current Inventory Level is the inventory level before you add the new inventory. Keep this value exactly the same as it is on your Primaseller application. You can find this value by downloading Inventory under Inventory Actions tab
  5. Upload the file back to the page by clicking on Choose File. Browse for the file on your computer
  6. Select the facility you want to add inventory to
  7. Click on Upload

Scan to Increment

Primaseller allows you to add your inventory to your facilities by scanning barcodes. Follow these steps to upload SKUs by scanning barcodes:

  1. Go to Products > Inventory > Inventory Actions > Scan to Increment
  2. Select a facility to which you want to add inventory
  3. Click on Scan to activate the scanning feature
  4. Keep the cursor in the text box for searching SKU codes

  5. Start scanning the barcodes. The SKUs will keep on adding in the list
  6. Update the details like Stock quantity, Purchase Price if you want to
  7. Click on Save button

Note: The scanned barcode must map to an existing barcode SKU code in the Primaseller Master Catalog.
